We're hiring a Bike Shop Assistant!
JOB DESCRIPTION
About the Organization
London Cycle Link (LCL) is a member-supported charitable organization dedicated to helping Londoners ride more. Through education, advocacy and community-building efforts, we envision a healthy, vibrant London, Ontario, Canada that chooses cycling as a mode of transportation. We host events, lead campaigns, teach cycling skills, and operate Squeaky Wheel Bike Co-op to achieve our goals.
Squeaky Wheel Bike Co-op (SWBC) is a Do-It-Together community bicycle shop. Our motto is simple: “We help you fix your bike”—by providing Londoners with an accessible environment where they can learn about bicycle maintenance and cycling as both safe and sustainable. SWBC also accepts in-kind donations from the public, and our staff and volunteers refurbirsh and clean these bikes, parts and accessories to resell at low-barrier pricing. We seek to be a hub and source of support connecting all Londoners with the resources they need to become confident, competent cyclists.

The Bike Shop Assistant will spend most of their time working with the bike shop team, assisting volunteers and users with the daily shop operations. The Bike Shop Assistant will also help with planning and facilitating workshops and events, supporting SWBC’s operations digitally and online, and building LCL’s community partnerships. Each day will be a blend of these tasks, requiring both collaboration and independence.
